Reinterpreting Redundant Architecture

Yuxin Chen (Viki) is an Interior and Spatial Designer with a strong academic foundation in spatial programming and technical communication. She completed her BA in Interior Design at Chelsea College of Arts and continue pursuing an MA at the Royal College of Art, specialising in the SuperREUSE platform. Her practice is driven by a passion for building adaptation and human-centered design, with a focus on reinterpreting redundant architecture. Through careful analysis on spatial narratives, she explores how existing structures can be reimagined to foster dialogue between the past, present, and future. Viki approaches idea development and spatial configuration through a methodical design process, drawing on practical experience in visual expression.
