After completing her BA in Fashion and Textiles Design from Winchester School of Art with First Class Honours, Georgina Docherty went on to pursue her passion for interiors by gaining a Diploma in Interior Design from the National Design Academy which then lead her to study MA Interior Design at the Royal College of Art, where she was awarded the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship based on her high scoring application.
Georgina’s work sits at the intersection of tactile materials, storytelling and thoughtful space planning. Her media studies project was chosen to feature in the WIP Architecture Show 2025, with her thesis model selected for exhibition in One Canada Square in Canary Wharf. Her approach to design is rooted in strong conceptual thinking, with technical skills in Rhino, Twinmotion and Adobe Creative Suite.
As part of the SuperReuse platform, her final project “Stillwater Quay” envisioned a hotel that responded to both the historical context and future ambitions of Canary Wharf, placing nature and water at the core of the site’s identity.
Georgina enjoys bringing together her knowledge of textiles and spatial design to craft inviting, human-centred interiors. She is currently looking to contribute to collaborative design projects that reflect her curiosity for materials, texture and narrative-driven environments.
